Cervical Cancer
The vagina and the uterus are connected by the cervix. It is cylinder-shaped and is made of fibromuscular tissues.
The connection between the uterus and vagina is very important for our body. The uterus is where the baby grows and then they are birthed through the vagina. Also, when the uterus sheds the lining and releases the period blood, it comes out through the vagina.
Thus, we can say that the cervix and its well-being are extremely vital for us. However, the cervix is prone to cancer risks, especially for women over 30 years of age.

Early detection of cancer can save your life. So, if you’re sexually active, you need to get check-ups every month or two. This includes getting

If your screening is positive, you will need a biopsy and other routine procedures to determine the presence of cancer cells.
Cancer is a difficult disease to have. Depending on the stage of detection and your age, the treatment will vary. You may feel scared, anxious and stressed if the result is positive. There is no proper reaction to such news. Every one of your emotions is valid. Confide with close people and build a support system. Consult your doctor to find the right treatment plan for you.
